- Idea #1: If you had a monster at your house, what would it look like? What would it do? What would it like to eat? Where would it go? Tell a story about it.
- Idea #2: Write about a strange character showing up in a fairy tale like the Three Little Pigs or Goldilocks and the Three Bears or another favorite story. Who is it? What did it do to the story when he/she showed up?
- Idea #3: Come up with your own idea.
