9 & 10th Graders:
9 & 10th Graders:
- Next week's assigned research (see below) due IN CLASS (handwrite notes and don't email this week, just bring them.)
- Study for Quiz.
- By now hopefully the element flash cards are memorized.
- 3 Field Journals (with drawing or image) about this week's learning. These can be questions too, or your own research.

ASSIGNED RESEARCH 9th/10th Graders:
Khan Academy
- Watch the 3 videos (below) from the "Moles and Molar Mass" section of Khan Academy IN ORDER.
- Watch the video for naming compounds from YouTube.
- Take great notes and BRING THEM TO CLASS (not email this week). You will be able to use them on your quiz the following week.
- You'll probably want to handwrite the notes so you can follow along with the math. You will be helping explain these concepts next week, so really focus.
- You may have to watch the videos more than once. I paused and re-watched parts I didn't quite get several times. Just go with it and we will go over it all next week!
Khan Academy
- Average atomic mass (9)
- The mole and Avogadro's number (9)
- Worked example: Calculating molar mass and number of moles (6)
