ELEMENTARY CLASS WRITING HOMEWORK:
  • Write a journal about something you like to do (something real).  What is it?  Where do you do it?  Why do you like it? Why is it fun? Does anyone do it with you?
  • Create a title for your journal.
  • Add a drawing or glue on an image or picture of some kind.
  • 2nd grade & up also underline 5 nouns.  (Person, Place, Thing, Animal, or Idea--watch the Noun Rap below to remember)
  • Use your best spelling, but don’t let it slow you down too much.
  • Length: 1st-2nd grade, 3-5 sentences.  3rd grade and older, 6-10 sentences.
  • Parents can transcribe what the student says, word for word so the student's true voice can be heard.  (These are just guidelines; write longer or shorter if the student needs/wants to.
