RESOURCES:  The "I Search" Research Paper
HOMEWORK:
January 6:  In Class
  • Brainstorm and get topic approval. 
  • Fill out the “I Search Chart”  Write about why you chose the topic you did, what you already know, and what you hope to learn from your research. That is basically a rough draft of Section 1!  
  • Create your "Search Journal" to track your journey and make an entry for today.
Due January 13:  
  • Make at least 4 entries in your “Search Journal”. 
  • This means you will also be starting your research, so you will need to start numbering and recording your sources.  YOU MUST KNOW WHAT INFO CAME FROM WHAT SOURCE, so be very organized.  (See handout section "ALSO REQUIRED: Works Cited page”). 
  • Make sure to have at least 3 sources properly cited with notes.

  • Also due--Rough Draft:  Works Cited page & Section 1

Due February 3:  Rough draft of two more sections of choice:  2, 3,  and/or 4
Due February 10:  Complete rough draft of everything, ready to workshop
Due February 17:  Final Draft
